Fulfilling Our Mission: Empowering Through Education

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news! One of the girls in our education sponsorship program has just completed her term and performed exceptionally well. This success is a testament to the dedication and support of everyone involved in making our mission a reality.

As we prepare for our return to Uganda this December, one of our primary objectives is to ensure that more children under our care can enroll in school. Education is a vital part of their growth, and we believe that with your help, we can provide these opportunities to even more children.

However, we cannot do this alone. We need your support—whether through prayer, financial contributions, or by spreading our message to those who may be able to assist. Together, we can spark growth and transform lives.

Thank you for standing with us on this journey.

THE OUTREACHES ARE CREATING IMPACT.

Thank You for Your Support!

We are incredibly thankful to the Almighty God and to everyone who has supported Hands of Restoration Outreach through our outreach programs. Witnessing a new generation embrace Christ as their Lord and Savior has been truly amazing.

Our Mission

At Hands of Restoration Outreach, our mission extends beyond spreading the gospel. We are dedicated to empowering teenage girls with essential knowledge about menstrual hygiene, ensuring their health and well-being.

Your Support Matters

We continue to seek resources to provide a daily cup of porridge to each student we serve. This simple act of nourishment makes a profound difference in their ability to focus, learn, and grow.

How You Can Help

Your generosity can help us sustain and expand this vital aspect of our outreach. By contributing, you ensure that these young students receive the nourishment they need to thrive both physically and spiritually.

Day Two: School Outreach

Hands of Restoration Outreach, in collaboration with our amazing partner, continued our school outreach program. We had the privilege of sharing the gospel and teaching teenage girls about menstrual hygiene.

During our visit in one of the local schools we work with, children carrying empty cups, eagerly waiting for the porridge that is served once a day. Unfortunately, when supplies are low, this essential meal is missed.

Our mission is to address both spiritual and practical needs within our community, and we are committed to ensuring these children receive the nutrition they need to succeed in school. With your support and other partnerships, we can make a lasting impact.

If you are able, please consider supporting this vital cause. Together, we can provide these kids with a daily cup of porridge, giving them the energy and hope they need to excel.

Prayer and Support Needed!

Shalom HRO Family!

As we approach the end of this incredible year, we want to share the joy and progress our beautiful souls have made. Aksam and Shifrah (Left and Middle) have been shining stars at school, enjoying their holidays to the fullest. Emmanuel (Right) faced financial challenges preventing him from school, but he contributed to his family’s livelihood. To ensure his successful comeback, we need your help. Let’s rally together to support Emmanuel’s education journey. Your contributions make dreams a reality.

The exciting news is that the boys are on a spiritual growth journey. They are off to a Christian boot camp for a month! Let’s keep them in our prayers for a transformative experience.

Now, we extend our mission to the street-connected children this festive season, we’re on a quest to reconnect as many as possible with their families. Your financial support can be the bridge to reunite these precious souls. If you believe in this cause, please consider supporting.

Together, we can make a lasting impact. Blessings to our incredible HRO family!

Celebrating Hope with Street-Connected Children in Jinja, Uganda.

We had the pleasure of celebrating with street-connected children in Jinja, Uganda. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and hope as we partnered with other organizations to show these children that they are loved and valued.

Despite their difficult circumstances, the children showed resilience and an unbreakable spirit. We believe that every child deserves a safe and stable home, and that’s why we are working to reconnect them with their families and provide them with the basics.

We can’t do this alone. We need your support to continue this important work. By donating to our cause, you can help us provide these children with food, shelter, education, and medical care. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these vulnerable children.

Hands of restoration outreach appreciation

Greetings all! We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has prayed and supported us while we were in Uganda! God is so so good! We reached home this past Friday safe and sound. Even though we aren’t there, ministry is still going on! Here is the most recent update from Uganda: The great news is Mukisa Aksum, the boy we’ve been posting about, is back in school and doing well! There are still needs to be met but we are grateful for God’s provision this far! We would like to introduce you to another young man, Onyango Jackson. He is 11 years old and from the village of Magamaga just outside Jinja. This is his story. Jackson grew up in the hands of his stepmother. He never knew his birth mother. This stepmother would harass him and call him names. She and his father had a fight over provisions and, ultimately, the father decided to pack his things and left without a trace. Jackson decided to leave too and find better means of survival. He found the boys in Jinja collecting bottle caps and scrap metal for small money. Without any real alternative, he joined them and has been on the streets for 2 years now. He is just like any other boy in the world. He wants a home, he wants a family, he wants to go to school. He dreams of becoming a doctor someday. This is a difficult situation because we do not have a home to take him into yet and he is left without any known relatives. His best option, at the moment, would be boarding school. We are working on what the budget might look like for that. Please keep praying for him and for wisdom as we navigate the way forward. Thank you!

A valentine spent sharing love

Happy Valentines Day everyone! It’s such a beautiful day to celebrate love and be joyful. We want to thank everyone for your continued prayers, especially concerning the young boy we took home yesterday. We returned to the house this morning to finish assessing the situation and finalize the plans for where the boy would stay and how to move forward. Thankfully, his mother was there and she was able to help us make the final decisions. He will remain with his grandparents (his mother does not have room for him where she stays currently) and he will attend a nearby school. The family has agreed to pay the school fees for this first term and we, as a ministry, will be paying for his scholastic materials. During these 3 months we will be making weekly trips to evaluate the situation at home and monitor his progress. We will be going through discipleship not only with the boy but also with the family. We would also like to look for sponsors for him to continue his schooling. It’s approximately $100 per term and there’s 4 terms in a year. The mother is the sole income and she has multiple children to pay for. Please contact us if you feel lead to help this boy. He is smart and kind and we see a brilliant future ahead of him. Thank you so much! Keep the prayers coming!

Prayer Request

We have a special prayer request this week for everyone to keep in their hearts and minds for us. In the short time we have been able to connect to the street boys, there is one in particular who has come forward as ready and wanting to go home. His story goes that while he was home, he borrowed a phone from some neighbors to listen to music. While he had it, somehow the phone got spoiled. The neighbors reported him to his parents demanding money for a new phone. Because he was a young boy, of course, he didn’t have the money. So the neighbors took it upon themselves to punish him severely. His parents did nothing. A week later, they returned demanding the money again. So he left in fear of more punishment. He has now survived on the streets for 4 years. He has a grandparent and a brother he wants to be connected with. Now comes our real work. Through him, we have to locate and communicate with these family members. We will sit down with them and discuss their living conditions and if they can be willing to take responsibility for him. Then we want to prepare him for school. That will mean purchasing books, materials, shoes, uniforms, etc. and paying school fees. Total, for the first term of 3 months, this can cost up to $400. We don’t know the family’s financial situation, if they can take that on just yet. So, we are praying for God to swing every door wide open and that the hearts of this family will be ready and willing to accept him. Thank you for your continued prayers and support in this mission!
