The resilience of Jinja street connected children

Today, we shine a spotlight on the resilience of Jinja’s street-connected children – a group of young individuals who defy the odds and inspire us all with their strength and determination.

Despite facing unimaginable challenges, these children display incredible resilience, finding joy in the midst of adversity and forging strong bonds with their peers. Their resilience is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to overcome even the toughest of circumstances.

However, they need our help to continue their journey toward a brighter future. By supporting initiatives that provide education, shelter, healthcare, and protection to street-connected children, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives and help them break the cycle of poverty and exploitation. Together, let’s stand with the children of Jinja and show them that they are not alone.

No street should be a home

At Hands of Restoration Outreach, we are dedicated to ensuring no child has to call the streets home. We listen to the touching stories of these children, who have found themselves on the streets due to tragic circumstances. Some have lost their parents, while others come from families so impoverished that they had no choice but to leave home to survive.

These boys face unimaginable challenges daily, struggling for basic needs like food, shelter, and safety. They endure hardships that no child should ever have to experience.

Our team is committed to hearing their stories and taking action to reconnect them with their families, offering them the love, support, and opportunities they need for a brighter future. We strive to provide them with all they desire for a happy and fulfilling life.

Your support is invaluable in this mission. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness, you can help us change these children’s lives for the better. Together, we can ensure that no child has to face such hardships alone.

Prayer and Support Needed!

Shalom HRO Family!

As we approach the end of this incredible year, we want to share the joy and progress our beautiful souls have made. Aksam and Shifrah (Left and Middle) have been shining stars at school, enjoying their holidays to the fullest. Emmanuel (Right) faced financial challenges preventing him from school, but he contributed to his family’s livelihood. To ensure his successful comeback, we need your help. Let’s rally together to support Emmanuel’s education journey. Your contributions make dreams a reality.

The exciting news is that the boys are on a spiritual growth journey. They are off to a Christian boot camp for a month! Let’s keep them in our prayers for a transformative experience.

Now, we extend our mission to the street-connected children this festive season, we’re on a quest to reconnect as many as possible with their families. Your financial support can be the bridge to reunite these precious souls. If you believe in this cause, please consider supporting.

Together, we can make a lasting impact. Blessings to our incredible HRO family!

Making a Difference in the Lives of Street Kids!

Hello from Africa – Uganda!

Last week, we teamed up with our incredible partner organization, @NEW IDENTIFY, for a powerful street kid outreach in Jinja City. It was a day filled with love, compassion, and hope as we spent time connecting with these amazing children.

We provided counseling sessions to address their emotional needs, shared a delicious meal together, and had a blast with fun activities. The smiles on their faces were priceless!

However, our work doesn’t stop here. We’ve identified a pressing need for rehabilitation and reconnecting these children with their families. Every child deserves a chance at a brighter future, and we believe that with your support, we can make it happen.

If you’re willing to join us on this mission of transformation, we humbly request your support. Whether it’s through a donation, volunteering your time and skills, or simply spreading the word about our cause, every action makes a difference.

Together, let’s give these children the love, care, and support they deserve. Contact us today to find out how you can be part of this life-changing journey.

We want to share some appreciation for these fantastic ladies!

Mama Waiswa (left) & Mama Petu (right).

They have been helping our team with the HRO Sustainability Project. One woman is a widow and the other’s husband is in prison. They both are trying to take care of their children and have volunteered to work with us. We have been able to appreciate them by small provision for the work they have done, but the vision is that in the future we can fully employ them and many others in the community completely funded by the very project they are working on.

So we want to thank and appreciate these women who are believing in this mission! Being our supporters and working to see these things flourish and grow into something the entire community can benefit from!
