Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
He is love to us.
Our sustainability projects are progressing, just have a look.

Hello friends and family! We have a very special request to ask of you. Many of you have been following our ministry and the work that’s been happening in Uganda. We’ve taken 3 beautiful children under our wings to teach them lasting life skills, good work ethics, and open the doors to education. Education, however, is not freely given in Uganda. There’s school fees, uniforms, supplies, among other things to pay for.
We are intending to put our young man, Aksum, into boarding school this term. Through gracious generosity, he has almost enough to pay for his first term. He is in need of just $150 more to finish paying for everything by September 1st.
Then we have Abdu. He is close in age with Aksum, and he will be attending the local government school. He is in need of fees and supplies, approximately $200.
Finally, we have precious Shifra. A very young girl, who will also be attending local private school. She is also in need of fees and supplies, approximately $200.
Ultimately, our goal is to put all of our children into quality boarding schools.
We are looking to you. If any of these children stand out to you, please consider helping them. Any little bit helps. We are also looking for monthly supporters! You will get regular updates about the children you support and all donations are tax deductible! Please pray about it. Share about it. We need to send these children to school!
A New Month With New Blessings
We are so proud of our team in Uganda, they’ve been doing fantastic work this season!
We were able to begin a Sustainability Project. This project will grow all different vegetables with the intention of supporting various areas of ministry, such as:
•Providing food for outreach
•Feeding our staff and their families
•and Providing revenue for the organization
To top it off, this opportunity has also created employment for local jobless women!
Now, this project was started with the bare minimum. Meaning, the land is hired and the tools are borrowed. We need YOUR help!! We want to see this project grow and impact as many lives as possible, but we need the finances to purchase the tools, hire more land, and pay the amazing women who have offered their services. That’s where you come in. Everything helps. And the more support we receive, the faster this mission grows!

In conjunction with Jinja City,Jinja City Local Government and Civil Society Organization, we celebrated the Day of African Child and our Theme was Uganda’s Progress in Eliminating Harmful Practices Affecting Children.
This is what we specifically do as HRO when we reach out to the communities and a big thanks to everyone in the race with us. Let’s keep fighting for the rights of the African Child.
Hello family!
A warm appreciation to everyone who has supported HRO in all areas, may the Almighty God bless you. Through your support, our time in Uganda is able to reach out to communities making disciples, from children in the streets, schools and inmates in the prisons. We are making a great impact.
Here is a new need, while out for street ministry, one of the boys by the name Webango Abdu (age 16), asked if he could be reunited with his relatives and given chance to go to school. He lamented that life on the streets of Jinja had never treated him well, so had made a decision to be taken home. Our team did not waste any time, they rode Abdu to Naitanda , a village in Iganga town. By the Glory of God, we were welcomed and accepted by Abdu’s uncle. Abdu is an orphan, though he has a home with his uncle, he lacks basic needs, we want to put him in school next week but we do not have the finances. We are calling upon every well-wisher who may be willing to support us and have Abdu go to school. This can be a one-time gift, monthly donation, or full sponsorship. Please write to us if you have any questions. Thank you!
Much love from us.
An appreciation to everyone who is supporting us with finance, physically and spiritually.
By the grace of God, we are moving.
It’s the second week since schools opened up the second term on Uganda, and the two children we sent are doing well. But we are still in much need; we still have a lot of orphaned and street children who would still need this kind of help, at HRO, we believe that the best gift for this children now is to have them go to school, attain knowledge for they can get to be useful citizens in future.
Would you want to be part of this? Would you want to offer an education gift to a street child or an orphaned child here in Uganda? Please feel free to donate. This can be a one-time donation or a monthly or termly donation for the education program.
Thanks and God bless.
Our team could not wait, Shifra was taken to a clinic for some medical check ups and started her to get ready for school. She does not have uniform yet but all things will work together for good. We still looking for a few people who would like to be part of what God has started to do in this girl’s life.
Who is Shifra?
Shifra is a 6 year old total orphaned girl whose parents died due to HIV/AIDS but thank God for her, she did not contract the disease.
She is been taken care of by an Auntie who is not able to meet the basic need of her own children, Shifra is not able to get the basics more so education due to the situation, that’s why we are calling for help, you can be a change agent ,you can help support fully Shifra’s education.
Write to us if you feel led
Greetings all! We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has prayed and supported us while we were in Uganda! God is so so good! We reached home this past Friday safe and sound. Even though we aren’t there, ministry is still going on! Here is the most recent update from Uganda: The great news is Mukisa Aksum, the boy we’ve been posting about, is back in school and doing well! There are still needs to be met but we are grateful for God’s provision this far! We would like to introduce you to another young man, Onyango Jackson. He is 11 years old and from the village of Magamaga just outside Jinja. This is his story. Jackson grew up in the hands of his stepmother. He never knew his birth mother. This stepmother would harass him and call him names. She and his father had a fight over provisions and, ultimately, the father decided to pack his things and left without a trace. Jackson decided to leave too and find better means of survival. He found the boys in Jinja collecting bottle caps and scrap metal for small money. Without any real alternative, he joined them and has been on the streets for 2 years now. He is just like any other boy in the world. He wants a home, he wants a family, he wants to go to school. He dreams of becoming a doctor someday. This is a difficult situation because we do not have a home to take him into yet and he is left without any known relatives. His best option, at the moment, would be boarding school. We are working on what the budget might look like for that. Please keep praying for him and for wisdom as we navigate the way forward. Thank you!
Happy Valentines Day everyone! It’s such a beautiful day to celebrate love and be joyful. We want to thank everyone for your continued prayers, especially concerning the young boy we took home yesterday. We returned to the house this morning to finish assessing the situation and finalize the plans for where the boy would stay and how to move forward. Thankfully, his mother was there and she was able to help us make the final decisions. He will remain with his grandparents (his mother does not have room for him where she stays currently) and he will attend a nearby school. The family has agreed to pay the school fees for this first term and we, as a ministry, will be paying for his scholastic materials. During these 3 months we will be making weekly trips to evaluate the situation at home and monitor his progress. We will be going through discipleship not only with the boy but also with the family. We would also like to look for sponsors for him to continue his schooling. It’s approximately $100 per term and there’s 4 terms in a year. The mother is the sole income and she has multiple children to pay for. Please contact us if you feel lead to help this boy. He is smart and kind and we see a brilliant future ahead of him. Thank you so much! Keep the prayers coming!
We have a special prayer request this week for everyone to keep in their hearts and minds for us. In the short time we have been able to connect to the street boys, there is one in particular who has come forward as ready and wanting to go home. His story goes that while he was home, he borrowed a phone from some neighbors to listen to music. While he had it, somehow the phone got spoiled. The neighbors reported him to his parents demanding money for a new phone. Because he was a young boy, of course, he didn’t have the money. So the neighbors took it upon themselves to punish him severely. His parents did nothing. A week later, they returned demanding the money again. So he left in fear of more punishment. He has now survived on the streets for 4 years. He has a grandparent and a brother he wants to be connected with. Now comes our real work. Through him, we have to locate and communicate with these family members. We will sit down with them and discuss their living conditions and if they can be willing to take responsibility for him. Then we want to prepare him for school. That will mean purchasing books, materials, shoes, uniforms, etc. and paying school fees. Total, for the first term of 3 months, this can cost up to $400. We don’t know the family’s financial situation, if they can take that on just yet. So, we are praying for God to swing every door wide open and that the hearts of this family will be ready and willing to accept him. Thank you for your continued prayers and support in this mission!
