We have some new friends

This is Esther (12), Eliza (12), and Elijah (5). The team met them in Tanzania and here is their story.

Their father abandoned them 4 years ago when the girls were 8 years and the boy just 3 months old. They live with their mother but she is struggling for income and usually has to resort to begging to pay for their school fees. They are very bright children who love to play and sing on the worship team at church.

We have a real calling on our hearts to make them a part of Hands of Restoration Outreach. They will stay in Tanzania for the remainder of this year and focus on school. By next year, our goal will be to bring them to Uganda for better education where they will stay at our base with our full-time staff and eventually move to boarding school. We are going to do 2 things to make this happen:

1. Our Handmade Ugandan Items Sale (linked below) is still up and running! Proceeds will be put towards helping this family pay for school fees this term, buy supplies, and take care of home needs. Reminder, these items are for pre-order and we will ship!

2. We are starting a sponsorship program for each child. This is a big mission that needs intention and commitment. Each child needs a consistent sponsor (or multiple) to fund $100 per month or $1,200 annually. This will cover everything from school fees to food to medical treatment. These sponsors will have direct communications with the child they support, complete transparency about where their funds are being used.

If you’ve taken the time to read this post, spend just a few more seconds to like and share so the message gets spread to as many people as possible. Comment or send a pm for more information about the sponsorship program.
